CLEARWATER SPORTS COMPLEX

This exciting project is a proposed Public-Private Partnership (P3) between Porter Development and it’s Team and the City of Clearwater to redevelop The Landings Golf Course into a dynamic, city-owned sports and recreation complex. The proposed project will deliver a state-of-the-art destination anchored by 13 multi-purpose athletic fields, surrounded by a rich mix of family-oriented amenities and community recreational opportunities. The result will be a premier sports tourism venue that attracts regional  and national visitors, while simultaneously serving Clearwater residents and enhancing the city’s quality of life.

The Landings redevelopment represents a fiscally responsible and forward-thinking approach toleveraging underutilized public land for maximum community and economic benefit — withminimal long-term burden on taxpayers.

The vision is to transform a city-owned golf course into a vibrant, multi-purpose sports and recreation campus that fosters community connection, supports youth and amateur athletics, and stimulates significant economic and tourism growth for the City of Clearwater. We believe a recreational asset of this caliber can enrich community life while generating substantial economic value for generations.

Through our ties with organizations like Clearwater for Youth, we are committed to helping disadvantaged youth afford recreational sports. The Clearwater Chargers have been the primary youth soccer organization in Clearwater since the 1970s. The Chargers' recreational program has over 1,000 boys and girls that need fields and resources to continue this local tradition. Our project will provide those fields and help keep this Clearwater organization thriving into the future.
